Hyper pigmentation - Birmingham

Hyper pigmentation

freckles, age spots and uneven skin colour are all a sign of hyperpigmentation. Sun damage is a main contributor to those pesky dark patches. Everybody is striving for that even skin tone and there is help out there to achieve a more even complexion.

The saying prevention is better than cure is absolutely right when it comes to your skin. Everybody should be wearing at least an SPF30 every single day. We recommend ZO SPF30 which doubles up as a primer which we love! For something a little stronger especially when in the sun is ZO SPF50 which protects your skin from those damaging UV rays.

For those that have been previous sun worshipers or sunbed lovers there is such thing as a cure. We recommend ZO medical range (Only prescribed by doctors) There are bleaching options (hydroquinone) which work wonders but as suggested it is rather strong and has some common side effects such as redness, dryness, peeling and irritation which can last up to 4 weeks. Having said that it is the fastest option at removing hyper pigmentation. Other options are retinol based products which are a derivative of vitamin ? This helps to repair existing damage and is also great for fine lines and wrinkles. Tolerance to retinol will be need to built up if you haven't used any retinol previously, results are good but may take a little longer to achieve. We recommend ZO brightenex.
